    You're offering medical advice, and I'm assuming you're not a medical professional given that some of that advice is potentially life threatening. Do not, I repeat, do not suggest things like St John's Wort unless you know the person's medical history and what they're taking medication, diet, and supplement-wise.

    I know you mean well, but please just do not.

    In all seriousness: Just go to a psychiatrist. Psychiatry did for me what years of therapy didn't (though psychoanalysis and etc has their value in the self-knowledge realm)

    Everyone has some problems, some people cure them with alcohol or drugs, others like to play games and compose music, but everyone is ashamed to talk about it, there is no ready solution to this problem :mates:

    I made my comment from personal experience.
    I come from a country that uses malnourishment to control the population. I was in very bad shape. at times almost catatonic. then I changed country I started eating real food drinking non poisoned water meeting normal people, not for friendship just for that moment. I started taking vitamin d. no more depression. depression is only possible when we make it happen.
