Lately, I’ve been thinking about how Instagram shitposters are racking up massive plays and views with meme parody songs that aren’t even mixed properly. Meanwhile, artists who pour their hearts into making top-tier music are struggling to break 200 views across platforms.

At the end of the day, this is just another reminder that marketing overrides everything. The general public doesn’t care about high-quality production or well-mixed tracks they engage with whatever is highly viral, even if it’s low-effort.

So here’s the real question: What do we, as artists dedicated to sound and music creation, do mentally to cope with this? How do you stay motivated when you see your work being overshadowed by someone who barely understands production but knows exactly how to grab attention on social media?

Do we accept this reality and start studying the meme market?

Do we stand our ground, perfecting our craft, and hope talent prevails?

Or is there a way to merge both worlds—a meme career with real skills?

    Let’s open this debate.
