Hello all, I've finally decided to make a post here asking for help after hours and hours of failing to make Melodyne.app work, so fingers crossed I've missed something.

    Here's what I've tried :

    1. Use Permissions Reset/Batchmod to change permissions
    2. Went into Terminal and manually changed the permissions
    3. Moved it to both Desktop and Applications

The app's still bouncing forever after clicking, am I missing something here?

EDIT : The plugins worked like a charm, just the standalone app. :(

I don't know if it's worth trying, but NI always says to initialize their apps by starting the standalone version first. I don't have insight into your situation, but I'd try re-installing and using the standalone app before the plugs. If Batchmod didn't work, I don't know what else will. Did you click "File" in Batchmod to find the app, or did you drag and drop? I've read the former being recommended over the latter.

    Hello Xyenz Fyxion,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I've also tried running the app first before putting the plugins where they need be and yes, I had the "File" option used for Batchmod. I've also done a clean install from El Capitan to Mavericks but still no luck. It's getting really frustrating that I can't get it to work, I feel like I've missed an extra step or something.

Did you check everything in Batchmod, I mean every possible "check" showing up? Sometimes the boxes for Group and Everyone have to be clicked on TWICE, so that they show a "check" symbol. Because clicking once just shows a "-" dash instead. In the Options check every box there too (ignore the warning). I'm on Mavericks 10.9.5 and this nearly always works for me. I've got the Melodyne singeltrack.app 2.1.2 by R2R.

I've had the same issue across different versions of OSX.
Try to put the app in a folder "Melodyne singletrack".

    i.e. Applications > Melodyne singletrack > Melodyne singletrack.app

This solved my issues in both Mavericks and Yosemite.

No problem. And, I stayed with Mavericks because I don't want to lose any compatibility.

I forgot to mention this. Ditto. I remember figuring this out by trial and error.

    SUCCESS!

KingSchlongXVII's trick on selecting everything in Batchmod nailed it! Thanks so much and not to mention ShadowOfTheZ and Xyenz Fyxion too, you guys are very helpful and absolute lifesavers! I can't thank you enough!

    Cheers!! :disco:
