    Hey guys
I'm wondering if we have similar sounds-presets in VST instruments
Lately I discovered very cool composition & sample packs like from Major Seventh Library, LyricOnTheBeat, Elijah Fox, etc...

I really love this style of music & I saw most of them are using Mellotron Micro or the Mellotron 4000d presets (ofcourse I can't afford $1000+ for a synth)

So I want to know is there a dedicated sound bank or built in presets in this style like in
Omnisphere-Keyscape-Arturia Mellotron V-Arturia Solina or something?
When he starts to show the Mellotron Micro in this clip he's playing the Harp Long Arpeggio preset which is exactly the sound I want

Since it's a Micro, there's no expansion card support, so he uses built in Sound Card 01. Here's the preset list:
    (Microsoft Word - !!!Leadsound\205) (digitalmellotron.com)

Glancing quickly through my Mellotron V folder, all of the Mellotron MkI/MkII/M300/M400 seem to be included, they don't have the Chamberlin ones though. The specific sound you're after, Harp, comes from Chamberlin M1, however quoting from Wikipedia:
Which is why you don't find them in free samples of the Chamberlin, because it presumably was some internal use only (or special customer only) tape. However, if you're after these kinds of sounds, Mellotron V is a decent option, or even better, SampleTron 2, which does not just the Mellotron but also Chamberlin, and seems way more hardcore about it. Click "See track list" to see a list of presets from each machine that they have. Both Arturia and IK also let you load your own samples, be it samples of Chamerlin in Mellotron to get the sounds you want, or totally custom recorded samples that you want to inject that vintage sound into.

After all, both Chamberlin and Mellotron are early, quirky, and let's be honest - mostly crappy and malfunctioning - samplers. All they did was play samples, which is something you can easily do with any sampler. If you desire the character of the bad quality 70s tape player, you can use IK or Arturia. All easily done in the box.
