The stars at the end of the preset names in Native Instruments Massive X usually indicate that they are favorites or specially marked presets. This feature allows you to quickly identify and find your favorite sounds. If a preset does not have a star, it simply means that it is not marked as a favorite.

Since you don't have any of the Massive X extensions installed, some presets from the Factory Library may be marked as favorites by default, while others are not. You can mark the presets as you wish to create your own collection of favorites.

If you click on the asterisk the asterisk will disappear.
