I fixed the saving of presets in new projects, but how can I get my old projects to load the right massive presets again? When I open an old project all the massive stuff has the default preset loaded. Should I convert all my banks to nmsv and rebuild the library or something? How do I do that? I've tried converting one of the banks to nmsv but it still opens the default blank preset in old projects.

 

Go to Massive's filemenu. There is a 'KSD konvert batch' option. Click and convert ur entire Massive KSD-preset folder. Create a new folder where u want the batched/konverted presets. Then delete your ksd-presets. U will have no need for them, because Massive uses now their new format.

 

What daw are you using? Have you recently updated your system? Guess no matter the daw Massive should load projects made with pre 1.3 version without converting patches, as patches are saved within project (at least with most daws I guess). Just to have all needed plugins installed while opening the project.
But yeah, to use ksd presets with Massive 1.3, convert them via Massive standalone. At file-menu there's ksd batch convert. From there select the folder where patches are (it should be pointing at the default folder without further ado). After that you can rebuild the database selecting file > options > browser > rebuild db.

 

I'm using logic. Converting the KSD's isn't a problem. The problem is that in old projects, where I used the 1.1.5 version, massive doesn;t load the preset I used. For instance I have a project I made where I used the BA Analaog Wobble preset from the Vengeance Dubstep bank, even though I converted those presets to nmsv, massive opens with the default blank preset.

It does work properly in projects made with the 1.3 version.

 

Well, opening renoise projects where I used heaps of some older massive (was it 1.21 or 1.1.5, not sure) didn't cause similar effect at the time. Sounds like logic issue rather than massive as it's backward compatible to older presets. Might be the matter of logic gurus. ;)

I know I'm late on this, but I've run into the same problem as Marcus. I installed the new version of Massive, 1.3, and now every time I open an old project file that was saved before the update, all my instances of Massive reset to the default. I've been scouring the internet for a solution to this specific problem, but I haven't found any. My Massive works completely fine as of now (newly saved projects re-open presets in Massive instances just fine) but I have about 50 older project files that I hope aren't permanently ruined.
