All you have to do is simply rebuild the database file.

To do so simple delete the database file.
    You can find it here:

    Mac
    Users>You>Library>Application Support>Native instruments>Massive

    PC
C:Documents and SettingsAdministratorLocal SettingsApplication DataNative InstrumentsMassive

    The file is called ‘NIMassiveDataBase’

Once it’s deleted – try opening Massive again!
The file you deleted will rebuilt itself.

    Problem fixed!

    Why not use "Native.Instruments.Massive.STANDALONE.VSTi.RTAS.v1.2.1.x86.x64.WORKiNG" ?
    No more database issue.
    From nfo :

    * HiSTORY OF CRACKiNG MASSiVE *

At a glance, Massive only has a simple RAS-2 protection, and it looks

very easy to be cracked. All previous releases are just patched those RAS-2

    protections.

Old Massive, by v1.1.5, has crashers in the deep zone of the code. After

the long usage, most of all people experience crashing. Some people say

"This is bug of Massive!" and some others say "This is bad cracked!". Only

NI knows what was truth. Those crashing can be avoid by deleting old

database files, so those bad cracks works fully with cleaning the file.

Time has been passed and Massive v1.2.1 was out. And people find that

they are now experiencing much more crashing than before. Yep exactly,

NI made the protection more annoying one so that those crashing happens

really frequently. Also, deleting database will not solve this issue.

Thanks to a famous audio warez forum, I can find the post about the

copy protection. We can decide to try cracking that unknown one :)

    http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=109903

    * NOTE ABOUT PROTECTiON *

With the long time analyzing, we found the section of the crashers. And

the crashers always exist with the word "Noise2SeedEntry". Generally, they

are excuted when Massive loads the presets. And randomly, they try to crash

Massive-self. By v1.1.5, they seems to be called "NoiseSeedEntry" and less

    probability to start to crash.

We've bypassed those N2SE crashing routines. I hope our effort makes your

life better. If you still experience the crashing with the N2SE, fell free

to contact us. Enjoy synthesizing :)

because 1.2.1 is shit and has more bugs in it .. and you cant use it with any new pr-sets plus all other producers use 1.1.5 .. am gonna buy it on friday .. that will solve the problem .. to be honest i shouldnt really moan about something i got for free ..

    Good luck...

BTW, all comments @ AN say v1.2.1 (ASSiGN) works like a charm, except for one guy who's working with Live (so it can be a Live issue) and another retarded who's not able to manage "Vengeance Electro Soundset For Massive"...

Welcome to the world of Native Instruments. All is not well. Even Kontakt 4 crashes without reason.

    Example:
Using the back/forward function in the instrument window to switch patches. Suddenly Kontakt goe into crash mode.

There are issues with most of the recent product from them retail or cracked.

Maybe they should concentrate on the interface and compatibilty between the old and new software they develop.

I for one am moving away from Native instruments as I find equal or better alternatives.

    Happy tracking...

I have legit version of Massive (latest) and I have never had a problem with it.
About 18 months ago I downloaded a not so legit copy and as soon as I tried to edit the patches it used to crash but I liked the sound so much so I bought it.

yeah i got the massive before and it always just switched off cubase about 2 years ago

now i tried massive in live years later ...same thing

just automatically switches the sequencer off usual when loading presets!

NI stuff pisses me off at the best of times with all the pokey menus and buttons

it's a shame because massive can sound pretty interesting, but it's not worth the 'crash make me unhappy value'
