Hi all ...noob here... I bought a maschine mikro 2 with no software..Is it possible to use maschine software(r2r) with the hardware and it work...only midi mode works but I want to use the software with the hardware.....can any explain the process if it is possible at all....win 7 64 bit....Thanks

 

You dont even need the hardware to make maschine2 work. ( only midi mode as you said )
But you need to make shure you have the driver for the MASCHINE MIKRO MK2 installed for it to controll the software
(It should be listed - see top menu - under /Controller/ ( 2nd from the top )
You might have to re-install Maschine and select the controller driver when asked

Yes - I have had a machine controllers (1, 2 and studio) and always used the r2r versions of the software (1 & 2) (even tho I have the legit software as r2r is unlocked, so you can use all the expansion packs for free)and it works well.
The driver installs with the software (as long as you don't deselect it)

 

And make sure the hardware is unplugged when doing any updates
