Does anybody know how to clear Maschine database in its entirety? I did an uninstall of Maschine 2.4.6 and upon reinstallation Maschine continues to show the old "directory" in Preferences/Factory/Library. As a result I receveive messages like "arcane Attic could not be found in its original location".
This problem ONLY occurs when I open the stand alone version. When I open Maschine in FL Studio the directory is clear, no entries at all which is exactly what am trying to achieve.
I have eliminated registry entries and every folder i could find related to Maschine but upon start up the old directory shows up. What am I missing? BTW the following files are NOWHERE to be found:
    maschinedb
    maschinebdLock
    maschinedb_mk2
    maschinedb_mk2Lock
    User.kad
I searched in the folder where they usually are C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Native Instruments\Maschine and they are NOT there.

    Thanks in advance.

Did you change the folder Option in Windows to display hidden files also?

You could also try to import the Expansions as a user Library as a workaround. In Preference > Library > User add the path to the actual library and see what happens. The Expansions then appear under the torso icon instead of the world icon.

Yes. Hidden folders are shown. As I explained, it only takes place in Stand Alone. I want Maschine to start up with a clean slate, with nothing in its directories whether Factory or User.

As you can see in the Video, this is the way to do it.

I'd uninstall Maschine 2 completely, run CClaener to clean the Registry and then re-install it

E.C.R. thanks. I have done exactly what the video shows and I did explain that. I have deleted those files 8 times and the directory continues to show up and therefore Maschine proceeds to rescan the directories. That, however, is exactly what I DONT want. I want to be able to start up Maschine without ANY entries in its directory. This I only have been able to achieve when Maschine is used as a plugin. When in Stand Alone mode getting rid off the folders DOES NOT eliminate the directory entries.

Thanks 5teezo. uninstalling Maschine with Revo Uninstalling plus doing a manual Registry clean up for Maschine entries DOES NOT solve the problem I am having.

You might need to uninstall again... and use a utility such as Revo uninstaller Pro.. that searches out all related folders..
registry entries etc...for deletion, that has been the solution for me to get back to a clean slate with certain apps

edit: dropped this after yours... that is bizarre , Revo cleans it out pretty well

I also used Registrar after Revo and the problem does not go away. As I said it only occurs with Stand Alone version and not the plug in.

@tonyg0499 hey not to beat on some obvious drum.. but you did reboot after cleaning and deleting everything ?
to make sure.. there was nothing resident interfering?

Yes, I did. There are over 7,000 registry entries related to Maschine. Even AFTER deleting them all and re booting the freaking directory still shows the old entries.

What about using windows seearch to find "user.kad"

    Or did you disable indexing?

I don't know, if you want to start with a clean slate you might as well just format the disk an reinstall windows.

I did a windows search. As to formatting my harddrive, that is not even an option. I will forget about NI Maschine and move on

I think you have to remove a file called komplete.db. in this file maschine save all entries too.
