hi guys and not to forgot girls:)

ive made some songs(reggae dub) but iam not a great keyboard player iam a guitarist.
i can hold on the keyboard part for a couple of bars(that covers the whole song) but then i loss track .
now my question is:the couple of bars i can play ther fine.
but the song is more then a couple of bars(keyboard remains the same constantly.kinda of skank)
what is the best way to duplicate the bars i played good in too the whole song?
and offcourse it must be in time whole the song?

hope im little clear about my question?
    thanxs for replying

    btw i use cubase 5

cut/copy/paste? pretty sure that's what you are asking :dunno:

use the timing bar at the top of the main track/stem list as a guide

even the pros do this when composing new material, play a few bars and then repeat the best sections

    Yeah, highlight and ctrl+D.

    Also, read the manual.

    thanxs for the answer.
i know this, but the problem is that i cant get the twoo or four bars that i recorded in time for the rest of the song.
ive tried this a couple of times but or they comes to late or to early..when i use a drum loop i just repeat the loop for as long as i want thats no problem..

    thanx for replying
    i knew this one

    hi sir,

i think that i formulate my question wrong. try it a gain haha lol.

the tempo of the recorded 4 bars are fine!
but after playing the 4 bars the recording still runs for lets say 2 seconds
so i need to cut that 2 seconds and ther it goes wrong
probably i cut to soon or a miljon of a second to late.
i extend the vieuw of the loop so that its big, but still its out of time when i duplicate the 4 bars over the whole song.

pfff haha ther must be a simple way to do this because playing a skank on the keyboard or guitar for 5 minutes is long
while i hope to do it whith the 4 bars and duplicate them.

but oke thank you ones more for replying mutch apriciated man!!

Press J for turning snap on/off.

Also, the manual is still great.
