So... is there a way to make it to where if u move a clip over another clip it just replaces it as it does in live?

I dislike the grey area\shading that shows overlapping clips when one is dropped \ moved \ resized over another.

you can place 2 or more clips but they behave like layers right click and choose events to send to back, bring to front, etc., hence the greyed area when overlapping, again select events for editing

 

Make a session view and I immediately change to S1.

 

I believe that there is a way in the preferences. But, I'll check it out again just to confirm it.

 

Studio one doesn`t work like that, i also think in their new version they need to do a lot more with colors to make it prettier.

By the way: The session view in live is so damn good that if i start making music i only jam with the session view but never switch to the arrangement to complete a track. so studio one is less waste of time.

 

Easy way to make ALL DAW`s act exactly like Ableton is to click on the Live 9 short cut upon yonder desk top.
