you should be able to block Norton from checking the keygen. Personally I would recommend ditching norton

Norton sucks. If you can then make an exception for the location from where you are running the keygen.

Uninstall Norton ... install Free AVAST Antivirus instead...Of cause it also will detect the keygen as virus...but you can either put it to a whitelist or simply deactivate AVAST while running the keygen. To store/archive all the the Warez for later installation simply put it to a partition of your harddrive that isnt scanned when you do a system scan for viruses..or simply exclude this folder in AVAST configuration.

    http://www.avast.com/download-software

this is english download..at this site above right side you can choose your language!

    Hey, Mr_Amine, uninstall Norton.

Then you can install AVAST, or, is best - Bitdefender Total Security.
You can each time manage the events, also make it reverse...

Moreover - Norton makes your computer slower.
I have deleted Norton 10 years before, forever. (Kaspersky as well)..

Avast likes to gobble keygens as well, so does Mcafee.

Having an AV is such a pain in the arse. Uninstall that crap and make occasional backups of the system with something like Driveimage XML http://www.runtime.org/driveimage-xml.htm or RedoBackup http://redobackup.org/ just to be on the safe side. It worked for me for a very long time when I've been using Windows for everything. A few times when I fucked up something in the OS or I had a hard disk failure these backups saved me a lot of time so I didn't have to install the OS again from scratch.

Also, using SandBoxie or VirtualBox [Open Source-free] http://www.virtualbox.org/ for running keygens and installing suspicious software, or even Internet browsing is your best friend!

Anything is better than having an AV gnawing at your hard disk constantly in the background and causing you trouble all the time, especially having Norton AV on your computer. Believe me, I'm into this for more than 30 years if Spectrum and Commodore days count.

If I had to choose AV, though I would choose Avast just like some other guys suggested.

    Cheers!

Norton is probably the most obnoxious anti-virus in the market. The best solution would be to either switch antivirus, which i guess you won't be happy to do.

For future reference.. Try turn it off your internet + anti virus completely before installing anything. Go to the program/file and give permission to run as administrator. Load up your antivirus and make it an exception, then you can proceed to turn on the internet again.

Uhmm, press START, enter "msconfig" in the search field and hit enter. The System Config Tool opens. hit "Startup" Tab and disable everything related to Norton (and while you're at it disable the other bullshit like iTunes Helper and QTtask and whatever is not necessary!) Then restart.

Oh and PS: "Norton is probably the most obnoxious anti-virus on the market." Co-Sign. I don't use Antivirus Programs at all nowadays. But that's because I know what NOT to download! ;)
