did you change your dns settings in your browser ?
is your hosts active or disabled ?

Otherwise, what happens is it says saved, but when you look closely it creates a new hosts file but not the main one..

 

No, this is not a host file problem, or various accesses. The domain should be restored, it has expired and its registered for renewal to another host called NameSilo.

 

Add 172.67.174.87 audioz.download to host file to access the website for now

"sudo nano /etc/hosts" insert "172.67.174.87 audioz.download" without quotes
Exit and save the file.
Execute
sudo dscacheutil -flushcache

NameSilo is a domain sales registrar.. In other words are just holding it.

 

For Windows folks with issues: shut down your browser, do the hosts file addition and then run ipconfig.exe /flushdns in command prompt. Restart your browsers.

DNS is notorious for a) not propagating too fast, b) often misconfigured, and because of these it's c) heavily cached.

 

Sister site can no longer be restored, as it has always worked? On Android can no longer be accessed? What happened?
