I was actually being ironic haha. Obviously the price is high, the DAW is one of the best ever, with unique functions. Magix has aligned the price with Pro Tools Ultimate (perpetual) which costs about the same amount. In fact, both previously cost around $3,000. However the correct price is 999 bucks in my opinion. Nuendo is worth it all. And PT Ultimate should also cost the same amount.

 

You can use Samplitude from our Sister, it´s the same Engine & GUI, only without some post-production functions. I use Samplitude since 1994 (it was from SEKd before Magix) and love it. I know summing is 1+1 but the mix of Samplitude sounds better then Cubase or anything. Don´t know what they do (maybe some phase corrections or any other math-magic) but it sounds better.
Samplitude/Sequoia is perfect if you work with audio-snippets ... every little snippet-object can use it´s own non-destructive edits like EQ/Pitch or plugins (yes, every snippet on the same audio-track). And you can open as many projects at the same time as you want (in the same Samplitude Session) and copy between the projects ... etc. ...
