so I copied the steam folder where needed to be, then I ran the updater and get this

I have batchmod and made sure I did the write permissions and also using finder :/
it keeps giving me this

 

Do you need to firewall this? All my Spectra stuff is legit

Try to Codesign the application and/or plugins. Alot of times they will give you BS error messages. They are errors, but the reasons can be totally unrelated, etc.

Grab a copy of Permissions Reset 2 while you are at it. make sure your plugins folders do have the correct permissions.


Here's how to find a folder's current permissions and change them:

1. Open the Terminal application.
2. Type ls –l , and then press Return. The symbolic permissions of the files and folders in your home directory are displayed, as shown below.
3. Type chmod 755 foldername , and then press Return.

Still no go

 

if you google "cannot install plugin. use finder to give write permission to all system folders" , you actually get more relevant results than duckduckgo.

 

In terminal:

sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /path to plugin
