I have Windows 10Gen2, 64GB RAM. VMware Workstation 16 Pro. I have 3 x Virtual Macs. NB (I only run ONE at a time, not all three!). High Sierra, Mojave and Catalina. Each instance has 16GB RAM allocated. VDisks have nothing on them (200GB each with just the OS and Logic)

If I close down VMware after closing any of the Mac instances. When I reload VMware and start up any one of the Macs, by hard drive goes bananas for anything up to an hour. I've disabled SIP, turned off spotlight. I can't load activity manager I can do NOTHING until eventually, the disk stops thrashing.

After that everything seems normal. I can reboot the Mac, and no disk thrashing, everything is perfectly normal.

As it does this with all three Macs and only after reloading VMware Workstation, I'm thinking the bug is with VMware.

Does anyone else have this same behavior or has anyone found a reason for it.
