lyrics licence requirements

    hi fellas
    i've composed a dance track and i feel that fits excelent the lyrics of an old disco song...i've searched for the recording label that the original track was released,but it doesn't excist anymore...tried to find any contact to the girl who was singing but failed...any suggestions what i shall do???
    the original song was from circuit - shelter me...vocal from Koffi

    Just bring the track out with the lyrics. The owner of the copyright will contact you if the track hits the charts. When the song is populair, then you have a better position for negotiating. And it is easier to ask forgiveness than permission...

    And it is wise to change a few words in the lyrics, so that you are a co-writer and the royalties are devided 50/50 between ou and the original writer of the lyrics.
