"It's The Saucer Pilots Jim but not as we know it!" On a recent furlough jaunt in The Stardust Serenade to one of the many pleasure planets along the Outer Rim @Midge F and I found this strange little mysterious box wrapped in a scribbled note and tied with a loose elastic band. He said "I'm not touching it you never know where it's been" but taking a couple of safety steps back cunningly encouraged me to unwrap the note. So of course I did. Inside was a black metal box with mysterious alien like etchings and a red button. The note simply read, 'Time Machine. Do not press the red button. If you do goodness knows what, where, when, how and why things may happen'. After a 10 second delay of should I or shouldn't I? ....i bravely or foolishly pressed the button, as you do, and the musical results are now captured below in full dynamic stereophonic sound on video (vinyl and cassette version available on request). We were instantly sucked into a wormhole and landed on our ars*es right in the middle of Earth's International Jet Set era of the late 1950's-1960's. As i am sure any Audisoexers who have travelled cattle class on an air plane recently will appreciate that this was the golden age of air travel in previously unknown jet set style and luxury. It was the era to sit back, put your headphones on and listen in luxurious comfort to the likes of Les Baxter and some easy listening classic exotica. So during the weekend in-between late-nite sessions at the Pleasure Dome we stumbled across a group of session musicians out on a friends Stag & Hen Night who happened to be visiting at the same time and we came up with 29 minutes 57 secs of retro luxotica vibing. So a big thank you to the following for their ever so sightly inebriated contributions: Howard Half-Moustache Lenny Slipfinger Audrey Conga Machine Greg Symbosis Principal Leon (Echo) Chambers (Drums and Percussion) 1. Very gah-roovy! Even though it is breakfast time I poured myself a very good brandy, lit up a Cuban, sat back and enjoyed!
Thank you @Aidene and a huge compliment for the story, the music, and the video! Attached is a postcard from my vacation.
@Radio Shame the Ministry of Defence stole the other pics and negatives. A pleasure as always to collab' with the whip crackin' @Aidene
