Still the best VSTi EP, imho.

For it's size, it's certainly up there. I much prefer Keyscape or the actual Rhodes plug-ins. I'll check this new version out though.

Rhodes V8 is stellar! Unfortunately they're asking $300 for the full version

Size, price, quality, ease of use. All around a very good VSTi. This new version has much improved tonal character & response.

The only downside with Rhodes V8 is that gorilla protection, its even worst than iLok, all said with this.

I like the Rhodes, Lounge Lizard and the newest one from Klevgrand too. The latter is super underrated, all physically modelled too and super easy to dial in several types of sound. I also really enjoy the variety of presets you can get from various Arturia instruments such as Pure LoFi they just released. There are so many great options nowadays that I mostly moved on from anything else, and unfortunately Lounge Lizard too, but it still sounds great. AAS instruments are fire, I reach for Chromaphone all the time before even considering actually sampled tuned percussion.

Lounge lizard 4, was always my togo for synthetic sounding EPs. It doesnt have that edge, that for real recorded things like in keyscape doesnt have. And its also so lightweight. Why would i invest tons of GB into a rhodes library? Only that the difference doesnt matter for me in the end?

Love AAS... I've used Lounge Lizard since the first version and its always been a favorite for ep's. Upgraded yesterday and I was pretty impressed the update. Sounds super clean... cuts through a mix really nice. I also the updates the to the browser and gui.

Same. To be honest, I prefer the sound of physical modeling ep's rather than recordings because I can add as little or as much character as I like with fx and in a mix they work so much better for me.
