I've really lost track which version works good with all scene libraries. As far as I can remember the latest working version was somewhere in 2016 from R2R?

 

Kontakt 5.5.0 by R2R and 5.5.2 by r4e do not require key generator and use the traditional GUI, and compatibility wise might be best option for most cases.
Kontakt 5.6.5 "NO INSTALL" is also good option and also doesn't require generator

 

5.6.6 No Install also available, I've been using that one.

 

Is there a stable working version of 5.6.8 at all? I've recently updated Prominy V-Metal, and it needs that version. I've tried looking about, but I too am lost in versions lately.

yes 5.6.8 works fine. There is a special version floating where you can add libs. Otherwise keep an old standalone ver of 5.6.6 saved somewhere to add libs, which will show up in 5.6.8. It's really not a problem. I've done this on both mac and windows.

 

grdh20 is right. This is the only problem with v 5.6.8 ("keep an old standalone ver of 5.6.6 saved somewhere to add libs"). Other than that, it works great.
