Looking For Your List of Top 5 Audio Interface Recommendations To Buy..

  1. For past year I use RME Babyface Pro FS. Very happy with it. A little hard to get the hang of, not intuitive (i think that is correct word, English not number 1 language, sorry) but once learn excellent result. I think a little bit bigger than your price range, but very well made interface, reasonably flexible.

sorry, what I meant by HTTP based software, is the actual control of the device via web browser. it uses simple networking to provide a localhost server type connection to a webpage which controls the device. You can also have your DAW running with the interface as normal, and then ethernet into it directly from another machine, so that the second computer/device functions as nothing but a mixer/controls via ethernet/wifi and web browser. you can connect a wifi router to it and any device on the LAN can access the 828 via browser. (This whole thing sounds great, but if I do not need it and it does random things I don't benefit from it anyway). I got the ES version with thunderbolt 2 port.

The UAD Solo has some of the best convertors I have heard for that price range. I can't use an interface that does not supply its own power at least, from the USB Bus. With the Solo, it connects at 40gbs via thunderbolt 3. connected to a thunderbolt 3 40gbs powered usb hub, it still got the hub hot. I bet it would drain a MacBook battery on its own, very quickly. It results in you using up another thunderbolt 3 port on the MacBook.

there are so many stupid details about how something fits into your setup. but with 800$ I wouldn't get into UAD. you could spend that on plugins in about 5 mouse clicks.

If you do get the Zen Go, let me and the others know how it works out. I am quite curious about the process or running one and usability as a whole.
