Acoustica > Analysis > Spectrum does the job too, you can set dB limits yourself there

A simple gain matching will do the job perfectly. Just match the gain of the files to exactly the same RMS values (not LUFS).
And you can also use Voxengo SPAN Plus, no need for expensive fancy plugins.

Span is NOT a " non-realtime analyzer " - Span is a realtime analyzer.

 

It has a "static" mode. [Static/Load]
The graph posted above is a static one (spectrum plot).

Normalizing will not help, because I don't actually want to normalize a Pad or a Hi-Hat, unless I wanna bother someone :p
I downloaded SPAN Plus (a whole Voxengo Package).
It looks interesting, especially that you can compare different channels and save results as images.

Instead of fighting for a non-real time analyzer I will give some real time analyzers a chance.
I also keep the other suggestions in memory.
