    Hi
I have the opportunity to buy a Motu MK 2 USB interface for a good price.

But I remember that Motu tend to have problem with their drivers for Windows 7 x64, so I'm looking for some insight from experiences users.

If you use or have used Motu 828 MK2 USB with Windows 7 x64, I'd like to hear your experience.

    Thanks in advance.

MOTU drivers are downloadable once you log in etc I think. I have the 828 but the firewire version and using on Windows 10, not 7. Works perfectly for me though and no issues with Cubase Pro 10.

I have a Motu Fastlane midi interface, I have the correct USB 3 drivers for my MB installed and everything works fine, all USB 2 and 3 ports work as they should, and all USB 2 and 3 devices work fine, except the Fastlane, with USB 3 drivers installed the Fastlane becomes a Blocklane, Studio one recognizes it, but no data is transmitted to S1, but if I go into bios and disable XHCI under chipset (same as uninstalling the USB3 drivers), the Motu works as it should and S1 receives the midi data, but all ports are now working at USB 2 speed.

If I need to copy large files or do a system image to an external drive using USB 3 speed, I have to go into bios and enable XHCI, when the image is done or whatever, then go back into bios and disable XHCI so the Fastlane works.

    Win7 x64.

    Hi Olymoon,

I had a couple of MOTU Interfaces over the years.
Beginning with the first Traveller through the series until MOTU AVB series.
If you will decide to use a Mac Computer, MOTU Stuff will be your friend.
But if you are “Windows User Only”, make a BIG turn around MOTU.
The same concerning MOTU’s DP Sequencer, on Mac = Excellent, on Windows = Buggy Shit.
If you really deny a Mac Computer, try to get some RME Stuff.
I know, they looks gruesome ugly, but they are excellent reliable devices.
It’s maybe more expensive, but you save your time and nerves with this solution.
