    hey everybody,

I was wondering, if any of you guys actually got gforce's m-tron pro up and running in logic x? I do know it's a 32bit audio unit, so wasn't expecting it to work right away; but even after having purchased a legit copy of 32 lives, I couldn't get m-tron to start - let alone work - in logic x. by the way I'm currently using logic 10.0.6 on osx 10.8.5 and the latest 32 lives version...

has anybody managed to get m-tron running in logic x?

or does anybody know of a viabale alternative?

    thanks a ton!

M-Tron Pro was updated to 64-bits a while back, just use that version works fine.

The old M-Tron works fine with 32-Lives also.

Its always about the right structure of the directory and location.

The thing is, everytime I try to run an instance of M-Tron Pro in Logic X, it crashes. I'll try and re-install the whole she-bang, though. See if that'll do the trick...

I'm using a cracked version of M-Tron..., so..., I suppose I won't be able to update to the proper 64-bit version, right?

So, I've un-installed and re-installed. Unfortunately, it did not change a thing about the fact attempting to run M-Tron in Logic X (via 32 Lives) crashes the DAW, before the M-Tron GUI even pops up.

I've also tried clearing Logic'x AU cache, and even tried to use another GUI - still no success...

... Does anybody have a clue, what I might be missing?

Is there a 64-bit version up for download somewhere?

1 can you show the crash report?
2 it works well in 32 bits, stand alone or another 64bits hoster?
3 before reinstall do you cleaned all the files manually?
    4 it passes the validation?
5 do you move the library location?

64bit only if you are legit.
Over the years this plug in randonmly stops to work, usually because it looses the adress of the lib :dunno:

Try this solution that can work for you (not mine):

Copy the installer on your desktop. Right clic > show content package.
Open (with TextEdit or whathelse): Contents/Resources/installscript.plist.
    And near the end choose:

    <key>Require Admin</key>
    <string>TRUE</string>

    Change The TRUE with FALSE.
    Save and Close. Install.

I hope it works for you

m-tron crashes in stand alone mode, so I was assuming the other questions were more or less rendered irrelevant at this point...

... sorry, if I've been unclear about this. your help is very much appreciated.

    here's the good news, though:

the problem, it appears, must have been the missing font. as you recommended, I checked for "arial", and was a bit suprised, that I don't have it on my macbook. you would think something as bsaic as that comes pre-installed... either way, m-tron actually appears to be working now. at least in stand alone. I'll check logic x, right away. thanks a ton for your help!!
