Hello fellow workers,

I have had these long loading times for a long time, I thought they were normal until I saw someone else open their project which contains at least as much plugins.

The wait is about 2-3 minutes pr project. You can also answer the poll....


Is this normal? I want to upload a video so you can see it, where can I do that? I cannot do it in here for some reason, its a screen recording.

 

Depends on your machine and what plugins you're running. On my M1 MBA projects open in under 1 minute usually.

In general, I'll be honest, specifically on Apple Silicon Logic hasn't been the best. Errors, which force reload all plugins in the project (while also losing some parameters), glitches sometimes and still no ARA support.

Honestly, I like all the new additions and everything, but they should focus on performance (which has improved in the latest updates), but also eventually I want to get normal plugin searching without 3rd party tools.

 

yeah well, I feel the same way.. It really should run so smooth without any problems, they are way too slow with the performance updates. Are you on Sonoma?

 

Any Arturia plugins loading?

 

Are you talking about the time it takes to load Logic (about 10 seconds here), or the time it takes to load a *project*, which may have to load many different plugins, and possibly many GB of samples too, depending on what's in your project and what plugins you are using...

If you load a project with zero third-party plugins (a test project if necessary), does it load quick, or slow?

 

Ableton loads almost instantly, Logic coul have a "dont check plugins option" everytime you open it.

And what about Kontakt libraries loading times? Lol, it is ridiculous sometimes

The difference on loading time is the number of plugins, in my opinion. Other DAW's are faster, others the same

Yeah some times? But it still should load up faster.

 

No im talking about both times it takes way long er than it should.

 

I have Arturia, but sometimes not in the project, its just general.

 

You gotta do a plugin cleanout.

(Could be) long + tedious, but probably worth the hassle to have your fast workflow back.

Remove all and add back slowly to find the culprit

 

So remove them from plugin manager or from component ...? Problem with this is, I need to be using the plugin to find out.. It needs to be in a project
