Live and External Audio editing

    Hello folks.

    I'm doing wavetables to use with Live's wavetable, but I've hit an annoyance.

    Using Sound Forge, which I've used since, I can't remember version 5 or so. So I know and prefer that.

    But... since I'm recording stuff in Live and then editing it always opens a new instance of Forge which is kind of annoying and slows down my work a bit.

    So my question is, is there an audio editor that can re-use a running instance? Apparently Forge can't do that. I just need the basics, sample accurate editing and markers/regions, VST stuff is a plus but not really needed.

    Anyone?
