    Greetings Audioz community,

since this is my first post I'd like to show my gratitude and appreciation towards you, since it amazed me how meticulously built this community is and how helpful and kind posts are there in the comment section and on the forum as well.

I recently have changed from win7 to os x 10.10. I haven't regretted it yet, but there are slight frictions. I have the 9.2.0 build and it thinks(round cursor) nearly after every single action I make, especially if I stuff around the preferences or my library, but even when loading up a plugin. I`m using a 2012 MBPro with 2.4 i5 and 8gb. Logic and other performance greedy apps work seamlessly. I have tried other builds as 9.1.8 and 9.1.0 they acted the same. If anyone knows a solution I'd appreciate it if they shared it with me. : - )

//Also as a newbie to OS X I found copylefter's OS X performance optimizing guide extremely helpful, thanks!!!//

    Try this:
    - close Live 9
    - delete the content of these two folders (not the folders themselves):
    /Users/[Username]/Library/Caches/Ableton/Cache/Web/
    /Users/[Username]/Library/Application Support/Ableton/Live 9.X.x/Database/
    - delete your "Template.als" and "Preferences.cfg" files from the folder /Users/[Username]/Library/Preferences/Ableton/Live 9.X.x/
    - restart you mac (probably not needed, but why not?)
    - launch Live 9
    - finger crossed

*to navigate to your [Username]/Library folder, open a new finder window, click on 'Go' in the menubar, hold the Alt/Option key, and then click on Library.*

    hope this helps you

I don't think it's necessarily a OSX specific thing to be honest. When i upgraded on Windows to 9.2.2 I have noticed Live has become more jerky and stuttery.

update: I put up 9.2.2 and now it only lags when I use 3rd party vst-s. Still can't seem to figure what causes this :dunno:
