So yea i've been up all night trying to replicate this bass. every time i make the correct envelope modulation it becomes obvious that its not just a plain wave, they all sound too synthetic and clean, although i think maybe it has a square wave sound to it?. i guess im asking about the post production of it. its easy to get a saw wave and modulate the same groove with a filter, but something about its "openness' that is really hard to recreate. does it has a phaser or something on it? maybe some reverb or something?? its very wide but almost has an acoustic aspect to its midrange. possibly 2 sounds working together? how would you create this? what waves would you use? let me know if you have any ideas!
