@timer That's why Waves makes BIG money : you can open a 10+ years old project and it will WORK !

Now, about other plugins, i fear you'd better render all individual tracks ;) That's what i do on every project.
And if you like a special plugin, needing a special treatment, using a "container", a wrapper... will solve almost all situations.
Even, may be, replacing a non loading plugin by a wrapped one.

 

@ArticStorm But you see I did try Albino I was so keen to like it I actually bought a copy, did I ever use it in a "keeper" no. I have a rule, use it in a keeper buy a copy.. But I got caught by the hype I bought it, did I use it no..... I dont know what it was about Linplug and I mean going right back to Gakstor or whatever it was called. I kept liking the idea but the implementation, it was never elegant. To this day 30 years of writing tunes I have still never completed a track with a Linplug plugin in. Excuse me for being a bit fippant erlier but even with the power of extended trail did it ever make the grade. Just not sure why......

 

I used to love Sophistry. Used it a lot for ambient intros and stuff. Never had much use for any of their other stuff, though..

I hear you on the free Kontakt instruments there is a lot of stuff out there, although not free, been really liking the SoundDust stuff.

 

So what about to put all source code on Github?

 

Albino 3 was the first plugin i bought... still think it is pretty good.
now that they don't exist anymore they should just hand it over (back?) to Rob Papen, and see what his team do with it

 

well, they disappeared for windows users. and the only thing that really survived was alchemy. they had other useful products.
