Not sure where to post this, so sorry if this is the wrong area, but nothing really applies...

I'm wondering if there is an easy way to use short urls in LinkSnappy elite's web interface... or perhaps I'm doing this all wrong.

So, for example, some posts on the sister site have a bunch of links to ul.to (uploaded.net short URL). If I just drop these in LinkSnappy "Files to Download" box, they won't work. I have to open up each URL separately, get the actual full URL, then paste them in to LinkSnappy. Not a big deal if you're working with a few, but it can be super tedious if a post has like 20+ parts. Is there an easier way of doing this?

I also use Internet Download Manager, but it seems I have to feed it in to LinkSnappy first to get their link, and then put it in IDM (at least with that I can do it all in one batch, however). It all works well, but again, it because a real tedious process if the post uses short URLs.

    Thanks!

I can't talk about Linksnappy but all these link protectors and file hosters (uploaded and such) change constantly to avoid that people saves clicks on ads so I'm afraid there's no solution but to wait for LinkSnappy to catch up.

Just use the web interface for Linksnappy. You can put the shortened links directly in there. I go to the website, paste the links in, generate LS links and paste them in Jdownloader. Works without any issues

I think that's what OP is trying to solve.

Although i use real debrid and my account is linked to jdownloader2 and even if the link is using ul.to it still downloads it no issues so like what Xupito said, its better to wait for Ls to catch up or use another service to do that.

Oh man, I'm dumb. Lol, sorry. I had tried a bunch of links from ul.to and they didn't work until I got the full url for some reason.. but I tried some other ones just now and they worked fine. I don't know why that is, but at any rate, you can ignore this thread now. User error. LOL

Thanks for correcting my stupidity. Lol

I'll also check out jdownloader. IDM is good but isn't free.

I remember using real debrid like that. Usually links would download fine with JDownloader Real Debrid's plugin. But sometimes it was JD's plugin which didn't catch up with some forced Real Debrid changes so there's that too.
It's not that bad of a thread still. Any input is appreciated now that without Oboom's trick many are considering Real Debrid and similar ones.

    Thanks Xupito..

I actually am now using the LinkSnappy plugin for Chromium browsers (I use Edge, of all things... but I actually like Edge now that it's Chromium based). I am still sticking with IDM for my download manager. I tried Jdownloader 2 very briefly, but think I'll stick with k'd IDM, instead. It works quite well, I find.

I signed up about 2 months ago on LinkSnappy (before that, I was using the "slow download" methods of Uploaded, etc). I was going to pick Real Debrid instead, but something turned off on that for some reason. I think it was either a thread somewhere that suggested it wasn't so great now, or maybe it was just that the sister site seems to push towards LS instead. Either way, I'm finding LS fairly good, so I'll probably stick to this combo of LS + browser plugin + IDM.
