hi , i have completely renewed my pc and now i have to add all my Kontakt libraries to Kontakt 7 .
Many of my libraries are made with a selfmade NICNT.

For this I had used the NICNT Maker from the pack of Bob Dule from version 6.6.1.
Now I have in the new seven version Rev 3 the libraries about the manage library Tool add library added .

The libraries show me but unfortunately that they are in demo mode.



There are only the libraries in demo mode where I have created the NICNT myself.
The libraries that I installed with an iso are not in demo mode.

 

Hmmm... can't confirm 100% but I think I read in rutracker that in Kontakt 7 (unlike in 6) some libs doesn't work well because the installers put some files in some folder(s) related to Native Instruments NKS. OUTSIDE the Kontakt lib folder.
The warez libs usually are "unpacked", ie without those extra files, because till now they worked fine in all vaccinated Kontakts

NKS is kind of a standard of sorts for locating and browsing Native Instruments software. Kontakt, other vstis... I'm not sure about effects.

Still haven't tested Kontakt 7 so take that with a pinch of salt

 

We most def need a sticky official thread about Kontakt 7 problems and fixes. @Olymoon , @No Avenger ?

 

that's just weird , in the other Kontakt versions my self built libraries worked flawless .

I read something in another thread about RAS3 and that you have to rewrite the Native Acces XML in a way.

I don't understand this at all, could someone explain it to me so I can activate my Kontakt libraries?

 

This already happened beginning with Kontakt v6.7 forward. Shit hit the fan.
But it's very likely with Kontakt 7 there're more tricks.

I'd use the R2R manager tool regardless of what Kontakt 7 release are you using. That at least should fix the official nicnt's (the Ras3 and NativeAccess.xml new requirements). But for self-made libraries you need to do it manually and with bobdule's.

 

I would do it, if I knew what's the solution.
I have tried to find a Kontakt version that would load self made and old libraries with no success, besides the help I received from several members. So I simply stopped using Kontakt as I don't need the terabytes actual libraries.
So, I have no clue about which is the Kontakt version that can solve the problem or how to solve it.
Native instruments are actually doing a great job pushing people out of Kontakt with such a stupid policy.

Weird. I installed kontakt 7 bobdule rev 3 today and all my libraries ~170 including probably 50 with custom made nincts and wallpapers showed up with no issues; I manually checked every library. I was using bobdule 6.7.1 before and had no issues like others have had with 6.7+. Both versions work for me in cubase 12.0.4 r2r with no issues. I think as long as the 3 digit snpid in the .ninct matches the .xml in the service center all custom libraries should work. I ran into some problems over the summer cause I made custom .nincts and wallpapers for all the Ochestral tools libraries that don't have them. A few of them didn't work at first, but I was able to make them all work in the end. I think for some custom libraries you can copy most of the text found in the custom ninct to a newly created custom .xml, which you put in the service center folder which helps fix some registration issues. However, I remember it was weird and I had to use notepad++ cause of some code reason like replacing text instead of copying over it.

I think if your library is in the registry and its .ninct matches the xml found in the service center folder (the mega xml that has all the legit libraries or a custom made xml) it should work with no issues as long as your kontakt has been patched correctly.

I could be wrong though. I saw bobdule replying to people on the sister site saying not to merge different kontakt releases from different groups because it can cause issues. He said you might need to do some system cleaning in the registry and other places.

Hopefully some of this can be helpful. I just remember googling tons of questions and I was able to fix all my kontakt related problems with old posts from this forum and the Russian tracker.

the Bob Dule Kontakt (rev3) with legit player license



the rev5 is about showing the legit player license, or keygened, or none if no license.

these modifs have been added to the R2R version, it enable the same behaviour.
+ edit mode unlock in every status full or player.
no more demo anywhere.
these changes (6) also works on official player. i can make a generic patcher from this test.

so, use another maybe. the fail is allways the user...
