Now i don't like making these posts because i normally spend 10 hours scouring the internet for the answer or trying to use my common sense.

But this ones really got me. I'm not a noob so usually i find out what the problem is. But for this one, Im gonna need a friendly hand guys.

I have kontakt 8 portable. All sweet, all bob dule.
I use the classic view, but this time i want to use the default view. (the new view)
I've finally got all the images to load correctly, barring a couple. But for some libraries the presets are duplicated. I know other people have this issue but i cant find an exact fix for this ANYWHERE.

theres 2 of each preset, one works fine, the other, when i click it, says "file not found, please make sure external drives are connected."

so things i've tried so far:
- deleting db.3 file (bobdule said kontakt portable doesnt use that anyway do didnt do anything)
- deleting the registry file in local machine AND local user - nothing.
- selecting "manage libraries in nks browser" in kontakt 8's portable library manager. nothing.
- Removing all libraries from kontakt 7 portable.
- deleting all json files and reloading kontakt.
- Removing kontakt 8 portable's db3 file in portables kontakt folder.
- rescanning library folder "inside" kontakt 8 itself.
-changing registry file to locate library correctly (changing the path) - nothing.

I've tried everything i can think of and now i feel stupid. Reinstalling isn't an option, i have like a hundred libraries. I had this SAME issue with maschine library presets duplicating but luckily i only installed 2 libraries that duplicated before i realised so just didnt install any more.

I cant think of ANYTHING else that could be the culprit and i KNOW other people are having the same issue.
Does anyone of you genius' have any idea wtf is happening to my beautiful kontakt? Im fked right now. please send help.

@Kamron giles - there seems to be a bit of confusion here. Are you using Portable or Bobdule version? The two are not the same and require a different approach to adding libraries. Portable, for instance, requires no library registry entries - that's why it's portable. So if your Kontakt depends on registry entries, you are likely using Bobdule version. As you're getting duplicate presets, it means that somehow your Kontakt is reading two paths. You may be mixing library registration methods.

Suggest you start by using one Kontakt version only (you can have different ones running at the same time, even different versions of the same one, but start with one) and use the appropriate library registration process (Portable or Bobdule).
