If only they had come up with that themselves, they could have been famous :bleh:

those Squiers sound pretty good ha? I still wouldn't buy one tho... :bleh:

I wanna search and see if Knopfler ever did an unplugged...
but it's satisfying to be able to just focus on the guitars up front..

@tulamide.. friggin awesome.. a choral anthem...

it always amazes me how a band can go down in flames.. then one member
can go on to make another awesome band..

@Herr Durr there is a story behind that video. Cesena is a city in Italy, approx. 97,000 citizens. 1000 of them met there and performed this song to get Dave Grohl's attention. Because -although that city is full of Foo Fighters fans- they never visited the city for a gig. Funny enough, Grohl saw the video, reacted, and they made a concert there, dedicating "My Hero" to the initiator of the whole thing.

    @Zenarcist

    MIJ... that's another story....

edit: I would not buy any that I have seen thus far.. e.g. MIM MIC

I have a Japanese budget 12 string branded Ventura.. even a budget line guitar MIJ is still a very good standard of quality
or at least used to be

@tulamide I saw his dedication at the end of the video... and I thought
there's no way Grohl would not do a show there after seeing this...
(sure you are aware he did a show with his leg in a cast too!)
he's got to be one of the nicest guys in rock 'n roll

thanks for answering the question that was in my mind

He's so fucking nice, it's almost frightening :bleh:
No, really, he probably is the nicest guy you can find in rock music. And he's so talented (Trivia: Did you know that he was the devil in the Tenacious D movie?). Started as drummer, became guitarist, sings from the heart, can be really funny...

But I respect him for what his thoughts are about music. His daughter, now in an age where she listens to pop music, forces him to listen to that music, too. In an interview (2014) he talked about the state of modern pop music:
    "superficial"
"fun to listen to... when you're in traffic"
    "devoid of any meaning"
    "no substance at all"

"I'm not just saying that as a 45-year-old rock musician, I'm saying that as a human being. If the Number One song is about your butt, that's a problem."

    Amen!

  12. That is the first thing I noticed. Even if they both had Suhr guitars at home, it seemed as if it was raining from the look of the cobblestone. I would have brought my rainy day guitar also. They sound fine and are playing great, no fretting out, set up well...and these guys ROCK!
