Hi all,

the following R2R releases started timebombing:
- Plugin.Alliance.All.Bundle.2022.Incl.Patched.and.Keygen-R2R (SPL Hawk eye, was able to re-authorize with keygen)
- Plugin.Alliance.AMEK.Mastering.Compressor.v1.0.0.R2.Incl.Patched.and.Keygen-R2R (not able to re-authorize with keygen, uninstalled plugin )

INFO: the DAW Workstation has no internet-connection!

Seems to me some hidden checks/bombs missed by R2R that trigger after some time of actually using the plugin. I've installed more of thier plugs, but not actually used them frequently like SPL Hawk Eye and AMEK Mastering Compressor. My guess would be more timebombs will trigger in the future...

Strange. The day you wrote thies, ie. 8 April 2023, nothing happened to my install of AMEK Mastering Compressor.

 

Before you blame R2R, did you install Setup Plugin Alliance Wrapper Core 2022 v2.0.0 And did you put \Windows\System32\R2RPA22.dll in exceptions of windows defender

 

Wrapper Core is setup proper - i even tried to reinstall it. Windows defender is hard-disabled on my Win 11 system. C:\Windows\System32\R2RPA22.dll file is existing. All just double-checked.
AMEK Mastering Compressor timebomb still there, and plugin cannot be re-authorized by any method.

 

And I am with Windows 11, works for me.

 

All aforementioned plug-ins still working perfectly on my Win 7 setup.

 

Everything fine on my setup. Do not forget you should use keygen from latest R2R Plugin Alliance release, they include support for new products in new keygens, old keygens will not register newer products.

 

Are you sure it is R2 , apparently R1 was still beta and might just have stopped working . But other people are also reporting similar things .maybe there were timebombs added by the developer after the first release

 

the only PA plugin R2R release that been problematic for me since the first release 7 years ago (forgot, correct me pls) was the Pro Audio DSP DSM 2 where the knobs behavior is kinda weird and I stopped using it. Apart from that none, zero, nada, up until today. I'm very careful and didn't merge PA releases with others, only R2R. Can't comment much about the AMEK Mastering EQ because I didn't use it much but it still works fine when I checked it just now. My most used PA plugins ever should be the SPL TwinTube and Elysia Nvelope and both still working fine for 5-6 years not even once de-register itself on its own.

All those years I found out that when you installed other PA plugin (non-brainworx) by other groups (forgot which one, but for sure not the newest TCD) , it tends to modify the Device Number and all plugin will be de-registered and you need a new generated "pa.lic" file to make it work again. Just that.

1. if anyone wondering or want to give a try, it's this release: Pro.Audio.DSP.DSM.v2.8.Incl.Patched.and.Keygen-R2R
2. play with it around 15 minutes or so, I think less, do everything, change presets, make your capture etc, at one point the knobs will start to stuck and won't move from the minimum position.
3. at first I thought I did something wrong but it keeps happening, I uninstalled and reinstall back, it works for a while then the problem comes back.Sometimes removing the plugin and add it back will temporarily solve the problem. I gave up and abandoned the plugin after that.
4. this was few years ago so I couldn't tell the exact time frame before it actually triggered.
5. not important because the new R2R released DSM v3 works fine except you kinda have to install the presets on your own or something.

I am having similar problems. I installed the Holiday bundle we received, properly with the Core Wrapper and the exception as instructed and everything ran fine for some time. I later added AMEK and some of the more recent releases, and reauthorized everything with the updated keygens each time. That seemed to work fine too. But then things started timebombing (ordinary items like Maag4). I can reauthorize, but it has become quite random. I reauthorize (using the most recent keygen), and the plugin usually (but not always) works for a moment, but other PA plugs then DEauthorize. It becomes like whack a mole. I have tried everything since to no avail - deinstalling, wiping the reg, reinstalling, with or without latest releases, and the same issue. It's a problem for me because the sound is dead on channels in my legacy projs. I have had to authorize and bounce down tracks on certain tracks. I am on a brand new Dell running the latest Windows 10.

I guess nobody's infallible, not even R2R. I just find it weird that most people have never been time bombed by ANY PA stuff.

Same here, Still working gr8 without any issues (win11, Nuendo)

 

I forgot to mention - even weirder, sometimes I put a R2R PA plugin into an empty track on my project and it says it needs auth. I delete the track, and open a track new track with the same plugin, and this time it is authorized. Without any reauth from me. Again, the authorization status seems quite random for me. I mainly work in S1 most recents.

 

No issues so far, W10, C12 / Reaper / etcs, opened AMEK, still seems fine? No auth issues whatsoever.

I desperately needed AMEK Mastering Compressor, so i installed it again today and authorizing worked I'll now keep a close eye on it and will report to this thread immediately once the plugins jump out of authorization again.

 

anyhow the title of this thread should be changed, at least put a couple of " ? ? " question marks

I confirm everything working on WIN 10 since the first day, I installed all R2R PA stuff and nothing else, I also uninstalled a bunch of original plugs and kept R2R for all

I vote for changing the title here

in 30 years of scene I never seen a timebomb working only for 1-2 users

thats not a timebomb, thats something else...
