hi,i just downloaded and installed the LA-2 that uad are giving away.
im using cubase 11 pro on pc,and when i select la-2 from list it crashes cubase.
anyone else have this issue?

Stab in the dark - I've had the plugin crash on a system with a really old CPU. If your CPU was introduced before 2012, it may not have support for AVX instructions -> crash.

 

Update MS Edge for starters, make sure you have no scaling in your system other than default.
Any overclocking on CPU? get it back to normal and try again.

 

Yeah... it's not LA-2, but LA-2A (silver plate). Just saying...

 

you have the warez cubase 11?? cause you might aswell update to the latest one. other than that, its either what xorome or unirorm said

 

funny. i bought the uad essentials pack and installed the la-2a collection. since then my logic is crashing as well lots of times. i installed 1-2 more plugins next to uad, but can't remember i used it in my project today. now that I read the post, I might be clear which plugin it is because I have used several la-2as.

i'm on a m1 pro machine. no old cpu issues here. its seems to be an overall bad code...no wonder they sell it so cheap now ;)

 

Thanks for replies. Yeah must be the AVX issue, as it is pre 2012.unable to use massive x due to AVX also. What a pain.
