Well SILIKA saturation sounds like sample rate reduction+noise and the compression sounds achievable on almost any dynamics processor plugin.

I am generally underwhelmed by Kush and that yapping wide-eyed twig with the annoying haircut.

Just like their omega transformer, i thought it was just a grungy, weak phase rotator
But if R2R crack it i will give it a proper demo, cos kush use ilok so fugg it im not jumping through hoops and regging online just so i can be disappointed with another demo

My first thought was: this is digital. Why doesn't it (Sililikialia) let you set the ratio to 6? Just four ratio options? Honestly bizarre. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Second thought: oversampling? Options? Doesn't say.

    From manual:

OVERSAMPLING Toggles Oversampling On or Off for all instances of SILIKA in your session. Oversampling eats precious CPU cycles but, in return, reduces the amount of enharmonic (aka aliasing aka unpleasant) distortions inherent in all DSP distortion and compression processes. If you’re working at 44.1k or 48k, and you’ve got a beefy CPU, you may wish to leave OS on the whole time. If you’re working at 88.2k or 96k, oversampling becomes far less critical. If you want OS on but your computer objects to the work, consider turning OS off to mix, and then turning it back on to bounce for maximum analog-sounding goodness.

I/O • GR • TRI This selector allows you to choose whether SILIKA’s VU meter shows Input/Output gain levels, Gain Reduction levels, or the Kush-Special TRI-METER which shows all three meters at once, allowing you to visualize the movement of your compression in analog-modeled real time.

SIDECHAIN Toggles the plugin’s sidechain from Internal (default) to External. Note: selecting External disables SILIKA’s Sidechain HPF and Push features.

PARAMETER DISPLAY (#) Toggles SILIKA’s parameter display on or off. ON shows the precise values of each control and allows for direct input of the values. OFF removes the visual clutter and lets you mix with your ears instead of your math skills.

POLARITY (ø) Toggle this switch to invert the polarity (aka “flip the phase”) of the SILIKA Output.

STEREO LINK Toggles how the detector responds to the L and R signal from your track. In linked mode, the compressor responds to your left and right channel together. In unlinked mode, the compressor responds to the L and R channels independently.

At least not A and N, haven't tested 458A, though.

There's nothing funny about hard compression.

Grr. I guess it's the same with that tilt thing, too? Prolly (maybe) makes it unusable, no matter that I like them. Or at least, difficult and annoying and fiddly. I think I need you to pounce on these guys and show them how oversampling is not just a switch, and can has bounce options! Thanks for the info @No Avenger, site was a mess!

I dig the Kush N saturation and sing it's praises. It adds one day of beard growth to any source.

Tilting or requesting to tilt (hardware)compressors is strictly prohibited. :guru: [IMG]
No, seriously, what tilt thing?

Yes, pounce on them, that's on principle always a good idea and my preferred approach. [IMG]
But I must agree, different oversampling options for realtime and bouncing shouldn't be that difficult to implement.

(I hope you're not playing with your poor, unsuspecting & tiger-distracted food!) But (prolly just me not paying attention at all) I guess it's the disgusting green color of the AR-15 that made me think that the lite / dark knob thing was like Tonelux Tilt? Also, srsly, despite how fancy it looks, I just wish they'd use numbers instead of leaving guesswork as the default option!
I don't imagine those fancy delicate knobs make it easy for engineers with claws, either :D

Ah, this one, now I get it (gimme a sec, the prey's still dripping from my fangs).
Yes, right, Tone kinda shelf-tilts the sound to either direction.
To the right (darker, surprisingly) it gently pushes 60’s ‘thick’ frequencies in the LMF (150) and MF (800), while easing up on “shiny” HF’s (4k and 10k).
To the left (brighter, ...) it pairs 60’s-era vintage shelving upwards at 80Hz and 8k with a subtle softening of the hard mids (2.5k).

The color in question goes back to the hardware compressor AR1 from Lisson Grove, which is based on an ancient Altec compressor.
If you want to emulate properly, you have to do this with the colour too, ofc, no matter the taste.

As far as the missing numbers are concerned, this is a hardware emu, my dear prey sis, so guesswork is inherent in the system.

And now I'm gonna show 'em what my claws r good 4 [IMG]

Yeah, I know, but it rly shouldn't be - for the sake of fake, irrelevant "authenticity". The random, stupid design of Pusher has been rewarded, when it needs tiger punishment!.. Can I please have my limbs back now? Pretty please? Even if they're slightly chewed? ;_____; It's difficult to produce with my tongue, although not impossible >____>

Yeah, I use it more than I want to admit also, rly seems to bite into Stylus like a tiger; and give me horrible flashbacks of using this forum!
