It doesn't matter if you're nice guy or not: everybody is equal in front of the law! BTW, I am NOT A FAN, but I bet nobody in here knows who Pelham actually is as a person and how he changed in the last 2 decades! The ugly things he did were in the mid-nineties. And that was basically keeping it "street" to so-called celebs who thought they could front on him and mock him on TV.

But nobody seems to acknowledge that he started the careers of both Xavier Naidoo (who is one of Germany's most respected and successful Soul Singer/R&B Artist) as well Azad by putting out his Album, who is considered the german version of Rakim! Furthermore, he upped the level of quality of ruff edged Hip-Hop Productions to where it was actually catching on to mainstream music TV. He actually paved the way for street rap in the mid-90s mainstream music. Back then, german music TV german was shame as far as Hip-Hop was concerned. So much gimmicky fun rap shit it was a joke! At that time he was like a mini Dre with his productions. He definitely was inspired by early N.W.A productions Dre and Yella had going on as "High Powered Productions". If you look at the name of his Production Company's Name (3P = Pelham Power Productions) you can tell where his influences are rooted.

You've gotta give him the props for spending all this time, money and energy to take the whole issue of sampling and artistic freedom throughout the whole of Germanys justice System up to the most highest court to fight for what he and we love: sampling as a means of musical expression.
