    Having some issues with the Korg nanoKontrol 2 as a VST controller.

    It works as a DAW controller (volume faders, pan knobs, rec button, etc)
    in Ableton Live 9 and Presonus Studion One 2,
    but its getting tricky when it comes to control a vst instrument.
    In Ableton helped me this: https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=192773
    Though reaveal sounds spire is not responding nice. I mapped a knob to a cutoff filter.
    Turning the knob from left to right is fine, but when turning back the parameter, it goes right back to zero in no time.
    Rob Papens Predator works well.

    Coudnt find any help for Studio One to make it work as a vst controller.
    Was also trying to find more information about the Korg Kontrol Editor, but no luck.

    Hope to get some help :)

    You are going to have to reset the nanoKontrol 2 . You can't run vst's with it when it's in Mackie mode

    this toy seams interesting and I probably buy one at least...
    The close competidor is Samsom Graphite MF8 that have more keys but it do not have the same flexibility right? :dunno:
    My others controllers send a lot of unwanted diferent CCs, and when I wannar record something usually records other CCs. :excl:
    Considerations will be apreciated :mates:

    @Mykal
    By reset, you mean unplug the nanoKontrol? I did that and restart it in CC-mode. I also re-started the DAW.
    Will try later again. Will also check again in DAW MIDI preferences.

    @ovalf
    the nanoKorg isnt that expensiv and as I said: as a DAW controller it does the job (I use it in studio one 2 and ableton live 9). so u cant make a big mistake buying it.
    I had the novation zero sl mk2 also in mind, but since my dealer hasnt had it in stock I chose the nanoKorg (and also for the difference in price).

    To control VSTi's I had the Behringer BCR2000 in mind. Well, if the nanonKorg 2 wont work the way I want, I might get it.

    "You can't run vst's with it when it's in Mackie mode"
    So I deleted the 'Mackie Mode nanoKorg' entry in Studio One and made one with 'New Control Surface'.
    It worked! Also Spire knob runs smoth. Will check that later in Live.

    Thanks again!

    In ableton make sure to chose "None" under the "control surface" option. If you choose the "Mackie control" as the control option it will auto map and you don't want that, Good luck
