Thus more or less exactly as this that was included in the 'The Korg Legacy Collection – Virtual Instruments Complete with Commemorative MS-20 Controller' released in 2004/2005.

I have bought this complete package a few months after its official release and this included MS-20 Controller (identical to the original MS-20, but a little smaller : ~ 80-85 % of the original size) is fully playable (with small keys), patchable, modular, usable as FX unit solely if desired (you can use guitars, basses, microphones,... as input sources).

And for less money (this 'Korg Legacy Collection' was aroung ~ $500 USD at the time of its release), you even got others Korg synth softwares (VSTi) as follows :

'Polysix'
'Wavestation'
'Legacy Cell'
'MS-20'

That's perhaps not the case with this "New Korg MS 20 coming soon" at ~ $800 USD (?)


Maybe you can find a second hand in good condition ?

I used to have a ms10 but it broke, could not be repaired and in the end i never got round to collecting it. Great synth, couldn't believe that they had trebled in value since i bought mine! The Legacy controller seemed a bit of a joke to me, plastic feel and shitty little keys, bit of an insult to the original imo.

 

@The Robot: then you have this synth for long time.. i don't know what i would do.. but might the new real Mini MS 20 have some advantages too.

@Studio 555: For Europe the price tag seems to be around 600 € (as often is often 1:1 i tought it would be also 600 $).
Sure the controler is cheaper (new Mini MS 20 would be a lil bit bigger as the controler and might with a better keyboard) - Controller you can get (as it looks like) for about 300 €. I guess the other software will be missing but you get a real synth. And you can include it into a modular system (think you can't to this with the Software / Controller) - might the will reproduce there sequencer too.. seems there is also another Synth coming (today) called KingKorg which should include CV.

I think working with real synths is different - not better or worse - but imagine it's fun and really want to try it out.

As far as i could remember you play guitar - i doubt you use a midiguitar! or prefer it..

Don't see it as critic. I allways see you very often being helpful and this post is too..

@lekb: might you should try to find another service.. might they can repair it.
