Hello

I am wanting to install Korg Legacy collection Special Bundle on my MacBook and I am thinking there is a Keygen involved somewhere...for those wanting to see which specific post I am on about please look at the post that is dated 30.09.2017 on the sister site

My question is, can I make the keygen / license on another computer and then use it on the MacBook or does it have to be open that specific MacBook?

Korg licensing system uses your network card's mac address to register the plugins, so yes - you need to do it on the same computer.

 

I don't use MAC , so I don't know all the issues, but i think the "Software Pass" from Dec 9, 2022 includes the same items...
But maybe more than you want, or you know of issues,etc.
Just wanted to point it out in case you missed it.

 

The problem is that windows computer where you run the keygen for licence the mac address must be copied over to your Mac which means any applications will now lose their license so?

Grab your Mac mac address and in Windows you can force that mac address on the internal network card settings ( Computer/Devices/ network card/advanced/ "Network Mac Address" section and then reboot. There even freeware apps that can do this for you on windows.

On the Mac :

1. Open the Apple menu.
2. Click System Preferences > Network.
3. Select your network connection and click Advanced.
4. You will find the MAC address on the hardware tab.

Copy that address to the Windows laptop or desktop, set it up, make sure that your mac computer is offline now or you will get an IP address conflict warning.

Register and get the licence.

Now import that license to the Mac, since the Mac's mac address is tied to that license should work.

Make sure now to change the Windows laptop or Desktop mac address back to normal ( or now all apps tied to that original mac address wont run on that windows machine).

If you are running "Bootycamp" as I call it you don't even need the Windows laptop or desktop as long as the network card is seen on the Windows boot camp installation.

All these keygens run better on Windows because they were designed to look for hardware within the windows computer management settings. So you can use Crossover ( 79$) or use a Windows laptop which may already have around the house and do this FOR FREE.

Follow the instructions... Install, turn off WiFi or LAN, run Korg Software Pass offline registration and get the machine ID of your Mac. Then run the keygen on a Windows machine, enter the ID, generate the response code and enter it in Software Pass on Mac, done.

There is also a newer version of Software Pass by R2R which doesn't require to turn off network, but I already installed this version and it works without problems so far.

 

No need for this, Korg Software Pass is generating a machine ID for offline registration. Just enter this ID in the keygen.
