I addressed this in an earlier post about not being able to load newer kontakt libs and thought I'd share the only solution that fixed this. (I had the newest updates but it still didn't work so I had to reverse (no pun intended) my steps.

1) Downgraded to 5.6.5 r2r version
2) DownloadedThe symlink installer in the post above 5.65 kontakt version.
3) Installed reg edit patch
4) searched the folder and replaced 4 files (kontakt.exe,kontakt.dll,kontakt16out.dll,kontakt8out.dll)

Loaded up ableton and now I can import the new stuff such as ethno 6. Before I could not even load stuff in the file browser!! This also fixed that issue so I can load any lib. ** Pats herself on the shoulder. Hope this helps one of you.
