You're indeed correct but master Griff has made thousands of wallpapers over the years for us for free, on his own free time, without asking anything in return. I think it's most certainly unreasonable to expect him or anyone else here to acquire the library that was requested just to rip higher quality images from there, considering all the work they already do for us. I would say that 99% of the wallpapers created by this wonderful community are of great quality and such minor improvements as you've shown don't make much of a difference for me. Sometimes I see low quality images with jpeg artifacts on them but they're pretty rare and I don't see any point in obsessing over the quality of such a small images that in the end is mostly obscured by the other Kontakt GUI elements.

Dear Talula, as much as your comment contains some kind of truth, I think it's important not to generalize. I work with sound and music for multimedia and I love the fact that my wallpapers are personalized. I did a screen share with a composer from another location and when he saw my wallpapers he said I had completely different ones for the same libraries he was using. That's really cool from my point of view, I say, for working with image. I like to look at the wallpaper and feel inspired by what I see.

Just in time, how lucky we can be: Talula and NYC, each in their own way, contribute a lot to our music scene. This community presents us with the very best!

Hi Igagura: How long has this site been around? At least since 2014, when it was started by Moderator Introninja. In the past 7 years, there have been literally multiple thousands of wallpapers posted by tens of tens of designers. Personally, I don't feel the need to defend the purpose or quality that has gone into making this site one of the longest and most popular on AudioSex. So, in order to maintain decorum, I'm choosing to let people's opinions speak for themselves. BTW, your comments are timely and right on point.

 

Hi Mynock: Your points are well taken and quite accurate. Wallpaper creators present their works in a unique and highly personal fashion. How folks perceive them (from both a technical and qualitative perspective) is entirely up to them; whether it be subjective or not. Just keep up the good work brother. Your efforts are always appreciated.

Both of you are very very - lets say - importat link in this forum and sister site. And not only for me but I guess for 99% ppl who loves kontakt stuff. Talula is a master of library supplier and Griff is master of wallapers (like other guys who makes walls for libraries).
You both have a right but all is a question of taste. Low quiality or high quality..... thats not most important thing. You guys are complete each other. Talula provide the libraries and Griff make walls for it. And that is the most important thing - happines of ppl here.

So... I want to say big THANK YOU to you both. For the great work and collaboration.


So make walls, music, organize your libs - no war! ;)

Hi Homer: I appreciate your comments. I don't have any problems Talula at all. I just don't agree with his overall assessment about the quality of many of the wallpapers here. It's just that simple. I've been doing this for a long time, and quite frankly, I (and many others) do not like the designs of much of the wallpapers that are embedded within many .ninct files. It's not just about "quality". The primary purpose of this site is to provide the Kontakt user (those who enjoy a bit of custom "eye candy" for their libraries, more than just a 'generic' view. That's it (at least for me) in a nutshell. Take care brother. Peace.

So guys did you forget to add the name of the libraries to your wallpapers? Some of them are quite pretty, but where is the name?

 

If you are referring to the recent Spitfire wave I think the names are understood in an abstract (and beauty) way. And let´s forget about any discussion here, not for nothing this thread has lived for seven years without that, the only one I think in achieve this in this forum.

Good idea let us all be objective.

OBJECTIVITY:
The people who have contributed their creativity to creating wallpapers do so out of the pure goodness of their heart or a willingness to contribute something to the community here. They do not ask for accolades, they do not ask for money or any reward. Not everyone does the most incredible wallpaper of their career every time, that's just not a reality.
It does not matter if a library comes with an existing wallpaper or it does not. Most people have their own personal preferences in aesthetics and sometimes do not change the default wallpaper and other times, they do.
The above is totally objective. To criticise someone donating their time and energy to do something for others is unnecessary. Whether what is contributed to the community is used or not, is still to me, worthy of appreciation. It is, has been and always be, the thought that counts in anything that anyone does without thought of return. The act of giving without any thought of receiving anything in return is one of the noblest traits any human being can possess.

To criticise any gift given freely by anyone that asks for nothing in return.... It's like people who donate libraries - Imagine if everyone said "Do you use it or just spend your days hacking other people's libraries?" Totally unnecessary is it not?
