Why my avatar of Michel Petrucciani? He's been one of my favorite pianists for a long time, When I was suffering with COVID-19 a couple of months ago, I truly felt that I was dying. One of my doctors brought this song on a USB into my room. I know that this is "off-topic", but I felt I had to share it with my fellow members. As a die-hard Jazz pianist, I respect this little guy more than people will ever know. When he was in New York City during the 90's, I had the great pleasure of meeting this wonderful man (backstage) at one of his concerts. He might have been small to some. But, for me, he will always be a giant. So pardon me, folks.

 

No pardon necessary Griff. Thank you for sharing that ..Very inspiring. I am truly grateful you made it through COVID-19. I personally wish you and yours nothing but health and happiness for life!

Thanks Nana. I can't even begin to describe the horrific nightmare of not being able to catch your next breath. Especially, when you're trying to sleep. I wouldn't wish that experience on my worst enemy! Thankfully, my wife and I survived. People need to take this virus seriously. It's no joke.

I share your respect. I also had the privilege of spending some time with Michel. We met in an elevator and had breakfast together. I was impressed by his humble attitude and his childlike candidness. Apart from the world class musician he was, his human quality left a permanent mark in me.
