Hi Celtic: This question was originally posted by @Sinnistar7: "Hey just wanted to ask a question about a library "spitfire - eDNA 01 Earth". Has anyone tried to load this badboy in the latest kontakt 5.7.3? I am getting an error saying it is missing the "spitfire earth_info.nkx file".

@NYCGRIFF This is about the Spitfire-eDNA 01 earth NKx issue I was having a little bit ago. I figured out the issue. The NKX was both incorrect and mislabeled. I had to go through the files within the library and find the correct one (which was a hassle). Once found, I re-labeled it to what it needed to be and boom!!! This was even good to go in the most recent release of 5.8.

The only thing now that I am trying to figure out is if you can have master tabs in 5.8. This is the next great adventure!!!

Great! Glad you straightened it out. These issues can be very frustrating.
That remains to be seen. In the meantime, I continue using an earlier version. I damn sure don't want the hassle that oftentimes comes with so-called "upgrades" or "updates". Keep me posted on that one.

The one "strange" with this library is not added with "Add library" under 5.8.1 GUI. But adding with 5.5.2 and later opening 5.8.1 works right.

Sure if master tabs with original NICNT files were done under 5.5.2 can be done under 5.8.1 or the inminent 6.0 version.

I met a couple of persons in the scene that knew how to do it and I think Pinkman too (and our big friend Otherside), but it´s long time I don´t see him here. For instance, the Abbey Road bundle from NI or Adagio Strings Bundle from 8Dio. They knew also how to do a batch compression with libraries like Mixosaurus Kit A or the hugest of all, the Studio Pro Files Infinite Player (complete bundle with extensions 235 GB).

But they are the kind of people that don´t write tutorials about how to do it

    Another computer? Hardware???????

Nice weekend from the other side of Atlantic.

Yes, hardware: Case, memory, motherboard, etc. I was long overdue, my friend. I do most of my work on a desktop. I'm not much for tablets, laptops, cell phones and the like.

I simply hate them. Too big hands for them. Only repare.

    Work is wonderful under two monitors (32 Full HD + 28 4K for mixer), Cool Master Cosmos 2, i7 5820, 64GB RAM DDR4, GForce 650 GTX + 730 and 52TB drives

I agree, The more powerful, the better! They can come out with all of the iPhones, laptops, etc. they want, but nothing beats sitting in front of a powerful computer machine with a large monitor and getting your work done, brother!

Here's what I came up with. This library's graphics are virtually non-existent.

Same here. I can repair those damn laptops -- even though the fucking screws are a bitch to keep up with! You had better have a cup to put them in! <lol>

That's why I love my old MBP 2011 -- I've taken this thing apart countless times (BTW, I recommend one of those "days of the week" plastic rectangular pillboxes for all the screws, keeps 'em organized) and recently replaced my SuperDrive with a second HDD. You can't do anything like that on a present day MBP or Mac desktop. If you didn't order it that way from the factory or store, you're screwed.

The real funny is when you have to try to change motherboard from a HDD. Screws are so beautiful
Laptops are sooooo boring. Fucking screws (there are special screwdrivers for them) but inside are basically the same, maybe except Sony Vaio series.
