For the record, I'm not one of the "Marc"'s, just an "Iggy" ... hence, my confusion. :)

There's no "confusion" on my part, Iggy. I will just continue to post wallpapers as they are requested. (As I've been doing for years).

Wasn't sure if Pluggotic ToyBoy was still happening, so I rolled the dice and made my very first Kontakt wallpaper, just to get the library into my Library tab. Even after three tries, it did not. Go. Very. Well.

    Wallpaper.png

If the layout looks a bit weird, it's because neither version of Kontakt that I own (5.6.6 and 5.8.1) seems to extend their Library tabs as far out as most of yours do (maybe between 450-550 pixels, though most 636-700 pixel .pngs, particularly from @NYCGRIFF, seem to work out great, or only require a tiny bit of modding to fit in my Library tab) and placing things where you'd normally place them seems to guarantee that something would get cut off. As for the graphics, there was nothing to go by -- the steel gray background and the library logo were taken directly from the Kontakt GUI's .tga file, while I swiped the company logo's .svg file from their site. Lightening the background color actually makes the library logo look worse. As for the toy piano ... all I could come up with. Anyway, it works as a crude placeholder (still better than the self-generated KLC wallpaper) and it kind of underscores the fact that not everybody can do this. Especially not me!

I hear you, Iggy. As they continue to change the tab layouts with each successive version, it's increasingly clear that wallpaper designers must adhere closer & closer to the "left side" of the display area. More and more, anything falling beyond the "left" parameters becomes nothing more than "eye-candy". I absolutely hate this shit, but that's simply the reality (at least for now). ADDENDUM: Those "braniacs" at Kontakt truly don't understand that many folks using Kontakt libraries love "eye-candy" even though it has little to do with the actual "instrumentality" of the library. Shame on them! Sometimes "progress" is actually "regress".

I totally agree! It's weird that, at least in the case of the two versions on the Mac that I have, I can't make the Kontakt window full-screen. Was that always the case? Also, it seems like you used to be able to resize each section, or I may just have imagined that. In any event, in my Library tabs in both versions of Kontakt, the top cuts off riiiiiiiight above "Pluggotic" and the bottom is just a little bit under the "Y" in "ToyBoy". The left-hand side of the wallpaper shows up fine, but the right side, with the Library tab window stretched all the way out, cuts off at the "middle C" on that toy piano, so a lot of that wallpaper can't be seen at all. I've done experiments where I've tried making the length smaller, and at a certain point, Kontakt actually seems to stretch or resample the wallpaper to get it to fit. You do a really good job of keeping a lot of the detail and all of the logos in that tiny visible area so it's never a problem.

In earlier versions of Kontakt, you had the ability to resize. Yeah, it sucks.

I don't have the library, but one of the guys, @celtic3342 or @RainManMac perhaps can give you a hand, Aliens. Hopefully, they'll see this post and get back to you. Good luck!

Awesome job... I can't imagine your ability to visualize these libraries the way you that you do! Thanks again.

You're welcome, Marc. All I try and do is to stick as close to the available cover graphics as possible. Sometimes, that's not always possible, because sometimes there are really no decent graphics to be had. In any event, here are two more requests that you requested.

So nice. It looks to me as though you depart from the original graphics to amp them up to the next level. They really look great!
