Hi Guys,

i have a nasty bug in Kontakt 5.

I've loaded my Piano and the Volume is on +5.5 over 0. This give me a ugly clipping.
So i reduce the Volume back to 0. I save my project and close Cubase.

At the next start of Cubase and reload of my project, the clipping is back and the Volume back to +5.5 over 0.

Did anybody know this bug and can help me with a simple trick?

did you have tried to resave the kontakt patch with the reduced volume before you save your cubase project ?

thanks for the idea, i didn't. i thought my adjustments would be saved, without changing saved patches.

i've never overwrited stockpatches in the past.

did you mean this would be necessary

Just back up the stock patch and try what TinTin recommended. Cheers

okay. But if i had 4-8 different Instruments in Kontakt, i have to resave every patch after a tiny volumechange. :-(

i hoped, there is an other way to fix my problem.

does this happen with all your patches or just some?? you may have to set kontakt back to default to fix this issue, let me know

 

EDIT: I am sorry, what version of Kontakt do you use?

Since 5.0.3 resource file (nkr) is ALWAYS saved with absolute path
Since 5.1.0 the CPU efficiency drops by 5%
Since 5.2.1 time-stretch voice limit cannot be saved as part of an instrument

so I wouldn't be amazed to see another error with 5.3.0
Seriously do not upgrade unless necessary, I'm currently happy with 5.0.3 as primary, and 5.2.0 as secondary.

i em using Kontakt 5.3.0 in Cubase 5 Mac and i do not have that problem But i did Have a Panning problem for a wile but it fixed its self

 

Then perhaps try older version, like 5.0.3 with compatible libs and see if that fixes the problem
It's the least problematic version (on Win).
