    Hi everyone,

I’m using an unlocked Kontakt v5.5.1. I keep experiencing this message when trying to load several libraries.

“your new library needs to be added before this instrument can be used please go to Kontakt libraries tab and press the add library button”.

It doesn’t happen on every single library I try to load, but several badass libraries I would love to use I’m unable to!

I have seen that several people have experienced this problem. I receive this message when I click on Add Library and try to select a library to load.

    I have a Window 7 PC. I’m using an unlocked Kontakt 5.5.1

    Has anyone experienced this?

Anybody know how to overcome this problem?

It would be great if anyone could help me as I have been searching for a solution for this for a while and have been unable to find one.

    Cheers

    :)

In a normal case you need to add a library the first time you use it with kontakt...I have kontakt 5.5.1 and win 7 and I never had this problem.
And once you have add your library, the next time you use kontakt, you have this message again??

Have you considered the latest realase 5.5.2.880 ?

Is Kontakt running in full mode? Verify by clicking Kontakt in upper left corner.

I've received this message a few times (very infrequently). What are the names of the libraries in question?

I am not certain how to translate my efforts to Windows, but the tips should be on AS somewhere. However, maybe what I did on my MAC can be of use to you.

I only got that issue from having two libraries with the same SNPID numbers. I created a library collection to load a few single instruments into the tab. I unknowingly duplicated a library's SNPID number in my nicnt file. Delete/change one of them.

Start there. I'm sure that is the issue.

I think problem is in library numbering. Kontakt will not add library if number is already used.
Common problem with home made libraries.
Check .nicnt with text editor. Line <SNPID>688</SNPID>

I also had this issue and is related to the library number. For some reason it doesn't work with random numbers/letters even if
it has not been used in some other library.

    1. Find a library that has worked for you and then check the <SNPID>
    2. Make yourself a copy and change the <SNPID> with a new one (the company/name too). The trick i think is that you should keep the format.
e.g If the number was <snpid>f71<snpid> then use something like <snpid>f72<snpid>
    3. Before you try this go and check your registry and delete your prints from previous attempts

Hi everyone, thank you SO much for the responses.

OK.... messing around with the <SNPID> numbers seems to have done the trick!!!

I am now able to use those "badass" libraries

    Thank you once again,

Go to C-Program Files-Common Files-Native instruments-Service Center and remove any double xml files or xml files that are causing you problems.
Now go to Kontakt and try to add it again, sometimes you have to repeat it 2x,make sure to restart Kontakt every time.
When adding libraries make sure to point to the library folder of the instrument, sometimes the main folder is not enough.
