    So I was looking at remastering an old track.

    It has been some time since I done it...

    I loaded it and everything worked except all tracks I used Kontakt Portable X64 on have the message:

    The VST2 plugin could not be found

    I am using Live 12 and I also have original Kontakt 7 and Kontakt portable. I am not sure if I use the same symlink for Kontakt Portable that I used when I made the project...

    There are many projects I noticed this issue on now, how can I fix? Since adding a new Kontakt instance resets all the info and most of the time I can not even remember what library I used. Is there a log to see where Ableton is looking for? Apparently the VST2 is the same, Kontakt Portable X64

    I might have fixed it. I found a copy of Kontakt 6.7 portable.

    Created a shortcut for it, put on VST2 folder.

    edit .ini file
    [Kontakt Portable x64.dll]
    PluginId=Ni$D

    now it is detected in saved projects, but I'm adding libraries so I still don't know if all data will be loaded properly, I might report back later.

    I also renamed new Kontakt 7 portable dll adding a 7 to it

    <edit> it is all working now... I am now wondering what will happen to new projects I started with Kontakt 7 but that might be easier to solve.

    thanks for the space :)
