Hello! I'm using a Bob Dule release of Kontakt 7.9.0. I don't use Native Access.

I have a few libs that are missing GUI's but I'll stick to just two in this post.
Library: Place of Pads 1 and 2

Each instrument comes up with a missing GUI.

Each instrument came with a respective PAD-2_GUI.png (and 1) file.
When I load in an instrument, I click "Instrument Options".
I fill in the respective .PNG file in the "Instrument Wallpaper" box.

I click "close" and go back out to the instrument display.
Now I see a nice GUI!

My question: how do I get this change to propagate thru all instruments for this library?

When you load an instrument doesn't Kontakt ask with a windows for the location of that file (png)?

 

It doesn't. When I drag the .nki file into the Kontakt right side, it loads the instrument without loading the Gui or asking for the Gui .png.

I looked for this library and seems this library (Levi Miranda Place Of Pads 1 & 2) has this no-background-image problem in Kontakt 7. But not in Kontakt 6 or 5.

Weird as fuck. Don't know how to fix that other than resaving manually every .nki. But then it would not load on Kontakt 5 or 6.

 

i checked the torrent and the nki's are bad.

it need to locate the files in instrument options.


the GUI for the instrument background, the nkr container for the buttons graphics.
then you can re save the instrument to take the change at launch.

only the first preset load graphics, all others need to re-edit the location.

pointing to nkc will never works it is only a container files descriptor. it look like a badlly made extract or repack.

Ahh, ok. Good to know, I'll start resaving now with the GUI file selected!

 

i watched too fast...
the Background is not that file (it is only a otherside teaser) PAD-2_GUI.png (with buttons)

the good image is located in Resources/pictures/Pop2Wallpaper.png (without buttons)

collect samples say 152 are missing and 2 presets cant export in Pop2 folder

LM Layer EP 1 Samples

this is a broken library, with only a part of the full content.

Bob, for some reason the library works with Kontakt 5 and 6. I have checked it myself (with Kontakt 5)

I don't know WTF is going on, but there is a solution. It's as dirty as quick, no need to resave:

1. (OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED) Rename the PoP1.nkc/PoP2.nkc to something like PoP1.nkc.ORIGINAL/PoP2.nkc.ORIGINAL
2. Copy the files PoP1.nkr/PoP2.nkr in the same directory. You will have "PoP1 - Copy.nkr"/"PoP2 - Copy.nkr"
3. Rename "PoP1 - Copy.nkr"/"PoP2 - Copy.nkr" to PoP1.nkc/PoP2.nkc

It works for both Kontakt 5 and 7 (tested myself)
It must be one of the ugliest fixes in a PC I've done in my life. And that's an HUMUNGOUS lot xD

YESSSSS, this worked! TYTYTY!

 

I spent more time to clean and organize the library. I took it personal, like MJordan.
Now I can safely say this is the messiest library I've ever seen. Off the top of my head:

1. Repeated samples with arbitrary ncw and wav format? check
2. Repeated IRs? check
3. Repeated GUI images? you guessed it!
4. Samples required for Part 1 instruments located in the Part 2 folder? check
5. the NKC thing? this is way more than a check. This is a brand new fuckery I didn't know was even possible


I thought it was impossible to make it worse than Zero-G Ethera libs but I've been proven wrong

Could it be that the libs sound also like a big fart after somebody got dinner with 1 KG of beens ?
