    Hi,

I have just bought a new SSD and moved many many of my Kontakt libraries. (I'm on an M1 mac).

The previous utilities I used to add/update libraries (and locations) don't seem to work in Sequoia.

I have tried using the KLU (v2.4.0) Batch Install function but it does not update the locations of the libraries. I can still use the libraries if I drag an instrument file into Kontakt.

Does anyone know a quick way to do this on Sequoia [without using Kontakt5 to add each library individually]?

Previously I have had to use Native Access to remove each library individually and then add them again after - but obviously I would rather not do this.

    Thanks

See if you can get Add Library for MacOS v4 to work for you. It is the fastest bulk add feature I have used. I've only used v3 for my Kontakt 6.8, but v4 is supposed to be for the newer versions of Kontakt. It's really the only alternative to KLU I've seen people mention success with.

Then use KLU after that anyway.

Thanks, I didn't know it had been updated but it seems to semi-work.

Unfortunately, the same problem, is still doesn't update the locations of the libraries. The kitty scripts used to be good at that.

Know of any way to quickly remove all libraries and scan the whole lot from scratch?

I suspect it might be a deeper system problem because (on this system) I have used Kontakt 6 to Kontakt 7, and now on Kontakt 8.

    HI

    1. Check that Kontakt 8 has full disk access in Mac Privacy settings
    2. Find the corresponding JSON file for the library in Users/Shared/Native Instruments/installed_products and edit it - mine had the wrong path in for some libraries and I edited the location to ensure it was right and they appeared :)
    3. Kontakt8 seems to generate those JSON files when first installed - so if you hand edit those JSON files be prepared that if you upgrade / re-install it might overwrite them so keep a backup

    Cheers

Thanks, I didn't know about the Installed_Products directory. I found that deleting the JSON files for the libraries that didn't work meant that Kontakt would rebuild them when executed. I don't know why these "add library" apps don't implement this feature, it wouldn't be hard to do.
